What's New at Reinwald's

Welcome to the Reinwald’s Bakery Blog, your weekly bakery update. We are excited to enter the mysterious and unknown world of blogging. I asked my dad, Andy, one of the bakers here what he thought I should write about and he replied, "Billy, bakers don't blog!". That gave me some inspiration. Each week one of our staff members will be posting a blog about various topics (bakery and Huntington related). My hope is that readers (that's you) will get to know our staff a little better & understand what goes on at my family's bakery. I hope you enjoy reading... and sorry old man, you were wrong!

So what's new at Reinwald's?

We have added a new member to our staff. She is a talented intern from Culinary Institute of America with a keen attention to detail and a strong enthusiasm for the baking industry. It is nice to have her around, the first few weeks can be a little jarring while she gets familiar with the shop. The staff is excited to have a new employee.

Recently we replaced an old piece of equipment. We installed a new more energy efficient proofer, which is basically a steam box that makes dough rise. The money saved on energy costs will pay for the proofer. It is always nice to have a new toy.
